La Coalición Hispana de Artistas (CHA) fue fundada en abril del 2007 e incorporada en el estado de la Florida en marzo del 2008 como organización sin fines de lucro.
La misión de CHA, es ser el corazón de cada artista hispano, promover su cultura, proveer un escenario y ambiente seguro para el desarrollo y proyección de las distintas expresiones del arte representadas en la Bahía de Tampa, sin importar limitaciones de lenguaje. Así como mediar, estimular, ilustrar, y educar acerca de la historia y los valores culturales del Arte Hispánico, Sirviendo de enlace entre los artistas y la comunidad en general, tomando como base la creatividad de los mismos.

When we contribute our gifts and talents to the community of artists and art lovers, we are fully aware that, when our gifts of talents are joined together, our purpose is enriched and our mission is accomplished.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of the Coalition of Hispanic Artists is to serve Hispanic artists of the greater Tampa Bay area and of the State of Florida by providing a voice for their artistry in various mediums and cultural genres, showcasing their works, providing grounds for interaction between artists and art viewers through education, group and solo exhibitions, and invitations. In so doing, it seeks to inspire creativity, celebrate diversity, and empower the artists of Hispanic cultural heritage to realize their potential by making a positive impact within their homes, their community, and the world at large. ~~ They support artists of various cultures and across various artistic disciplines, such as performing arts, visual and fine arts, crafts, media and digital arts, literary arts, interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary arts, and creative design.
MOTTO: Celebrating the Diversity of Hispanic Artistry and Providing Access to All
The Board of Directors has adopted a "fragrance-free policy."

CHA Art Exhibition, "The Dawn of Spring"
and Installation of New Board of Directors
Tampa, FL, 3/19/12 : The Board of the Hispanic Coalition of Artists, Inc., held the installation of the new Board of Directors for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 and participated in a posthumous recognition of their beloved member Mr. Joseph Murani in addition to its opening reception of the art exhibition, "The Dawn of Spring Spring," of 15 participating CHA artists.
The event took place on March 16, 2012, in the Atrium of The Towers at Westshore at 1408 N. Westshore Boulevard. Tampa, FL 33607. The art exhibition is open to the public until March 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
During the reception, there was a special recognition as members of the fiscal year 2011-2012 for their talents, successes, achievements, and passion for the arts. The artists were Ligia Bello (Venezuela) and Luis F. Rodriguez (Puerto Rico).
The new directors of the Hispanic Coalition of Artists was sworn by Mr. Paul Martínez, PA. They are--

Artists participating in the exhibition were—
Ligia Bello (Venezuela), Ventura Gonzalez (Cuba), Elsa Granado Obedient (Venezuela), Dora Iregui (Colombia), Alcira Levy (Colombia), Elsa Hallaoui Obedient (Venezuela) and Muriel Prieto (Puerto Rico), Natalia Ramirez (Cuba), Yolanda Rodrigues (Puerto Rico), Carlos A. Soto (Colombia), Damaris Soto Frassica (Dominican Republic), Yolanda Suarez (Colombia), Yolanda Suarez (Colombia, Isidoro Tejeda (Cuba), Mauricio Vasquez, (El Salvador), Jose Murani (in Memorium).
The event was sponsored by The Towers At Westshore. Those attending the event enjoyed the exquisite music of the duet “Our Land Duet,” Teresa Arruza & Manny Lopez,; Lily Cortez, vocalist; and Shantel Ureña, ballerina..
